Welcome to the questionnaire
No Knives, Better Lives (NKBL) is a national campaign, run by the Scottish Government and YouthLink Scotland, aiming to understand young people’s experiences and views on violence in Scotland and how best to reduce it.
We are asking young people in Scotland aged 11 to 25 years to complete a 10-15 minute survey about you, knife crime, campaigns to reduce knife crime, social media and violent content online. If you are aged 11 to 15, you should have got this link from a youth worker, a teacher, a support worker, a youth group leader or a violence prevention worker you know, so they can support you if needed.
There are no right or wrong answers, we just want to know your views. Taking part is completely voluntary and you can skip any questions you don’t want to answer. Your answers will be combined with answers from other young people, and no one will be able to identify who said what.
If you have any questions, you can find more information about the research, including what we do with the information you tell us and what your rights are here:

or you can also email Vicki at YouthLink Scotland on
vridley@youthlink.scot
We hope you will find the questions interesting, but if for any reason you feel upset by any of the questions, please speak to your parent or carer or another person you trust. You can also find a list of organisations who can help at the end of the survey, or through the link above.
